After surviving torrential rain and gale force winds earlier in the week, Cornwall is set to encounter more stormy weather tomorrow.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for gale force winds in the county which will start to build early tomorrow morning and last throughout the day.
It is predicted that wind speeds will peak between 70 and 80 mph in coastal areas.
The Exeter based meteorologists have also warned that periods of heavy rain tomorrow may cause more flooding due to the already saturated state of the ground.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “The public should be aware of the potential for disruption, especially where the high winds are combined with heavy rainfall.
“Please watch for updates to this warning over the coming days, especially those who have travel plans.”
People who are worried about flooding are advised to visit the Environment Agency’s website for further information.
