A farm building’s roof in Saltash blew off and damaged a bungalow opposite it today.
At 11.22am the emergency services received a call from a property in Mead Way, which had sustained substantial roof damage after an adjacent farm building’s roof sheeting blew into the bungalow.
Initially one Saltash fire crew was sent to the scene with five firefighters but soon after arriving another fire crew were requested to assist with another four firefighters.
The building that was damaged measured 30 by 10 metres and comprised of two semi-detached bungalows.
Both of the bungalows had sustained roof damage and there was a possibility of further damage from the roof sheeting adjacent to the buildings.
