It has turned into a family tradition with my Dad, brother and me to always eat out at Kathmandu Palace in Truro. We have tied other curry houses, and other restaurants, but we always end up choosing to come back here! Very small yet comfortable atmosphere whether the restaurant is quiet or full. Happily take my toddler and a high chair is provided. All of the family love the food. I am veggie and the vegetarian curries are lovely, not a frozen/tinned soggy vegetable in sight. Only 4 stars, even though I want to give 5 stars, as you took Brinjal Bhaji - mild spicy, tangy, fruity aubergine curry - off the menu, which is both mine and the 2 year olds favourite :(
Kathmandu Palace is right beside one of the busiest car parks in Truro. It is a great restaurant no matter if you're going out as a couple, with friends or as a family. And when you're in the restaurant, the various groupings of people just seem to work together, making for a great atmosphere. There is a good choice of dishes on the menu, including some that I haven't seen in many other restaurants, If you're looking for a tasty meal, this is defintely a place to come.
Having never visited here, I wasn't really sure what to expect. I was just glad I could park in the car park next door so I didn't have far to walk in this arctic weather. Once inside, I was immediately assailed by a wonderful aroma and welcomed by a friendly member of staff. Once at the table, I was given just the right amount of time to choose my food before being asked if I was ready to place my order. When the food arrived it was just the right temperature and delicious. What's more, the price was reasonable. I shall definitely return.
My preferred choice of curry house for family and friends due to the great atmosphere and service provided. The cuisine itself is superb with a great choice of dishes not found elsewhere in Cornwall.
This restaurant is slightly tucked away but still only a stone's throw from the centre of Truro. However, once found and entered the atmosphere is fantastic. The reataurant is equally happy to cater for small and large groups of people. There is a good selection of dishes available. When the food arrives it is well presented and tasty. The staff are friendly and seem to genuinely want everyone to have a great dining experience.
