A NECKLACE of great sentimental value has gone missing from a bedside unit at West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance.

It was given to an elderly woman when she got married 52 years ago and has a picture of her late husband and deceased daughter in a locket.

The locket is an oval shape and on the other side has a patterned design on a 16” gold chain believed to be 9 carat.

The necklace was placed in a purse in bedside unit and went missing sometime between December 19 to 24.

Anyone with any information should contact the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting crime ref no AP/13/3244.

When my 92yr. old father died in Leicester Gen. Hospital, I called to collect his electric shaver. It also had 'walked'. At least they couldn't get his gold wedding ring off his finger. NOTHING is safe in a hospital and nothing of value should ever be kept there.
