Knee Pain - (Petlla Mal-Tracking) - Read for review of service

“I started off having anterior knee pain about 4 months before I was referred to a NHS physiotherapist. I have since then off my own accord, used two external physio’s to help eliminate or even just locate the problem. The NHS obviously told me to stop all training and all sports to eliminate the inflammation and any further damage I could have doing to the joint, but as I’m on a sports degree and a very active person, this wasn’t easy. He diagnosed my injury as Patella Mal-Tracking, which I googled and researched. I followed the advice of the NHS for 5 weeks and only worked on what they had asked me to , which was clams (this is a simple exercise working a specific muscle in the gluteus... Bum) with no training.... But there was no change and I was getting very tedious with not being able to use the gym. I then went to see an external private physio in Truro, which cost me £80 which this I has some orthotics made up and diagnosis with my knee, which was jumpers knee... he made me a work out plan for the gym where I had to work out twice a day, using balance balls and neuromuscular techniques to activate the Quad muscles, this still didn’t work. Finally I went to see Barry, a sports masseur, working with Truro College higher education students with sports rehabilitation, after my first deep tissue massage around the main area (being the knee) and surrounding areas (the hamstring and gastrocnemius), I was amazed to feel pain free when squatting with just a small acky’ feeling in the medial area of the knee. I will be returning for one last deep tissue massage this following Wednesday... To sum up, after 5-6 Months, a lot of money and time spent trying to sort this problem out and frustration in not being to keep active, one sports massage has fixed my issue.... I have no idea how, but I am extremely grateful. Once again, Thankyou very much. Tom Templeman ”
