T'ai Chi is a gentle form of relaxing exercise from ancient China which provides mental, physical and spiritual benefits. It develops the Chi or internal energy of the body so it helps improve stamina, mental focus, and flexibility and is practised by both women and men of all ages and levels of ability. We also teach Chi Gung and Tao Yin or deep breathing.
Chi is what Chinese refer to as the life force so building up a store of energy through these types of exercises can slow down the ageing process and improve many health conditions like dementia, heart problems, obesity, balance, poor circulation and so on. T'ai Chi is a natural form of therapy that you can learn for yourself and practise at home so lessens the need for drugs and surgical procedures as it conditions the bones and tendons and improves arthritis and other degenerative problems associated with ageing.
