- An evening of toe-tapping Tin Pan Alley music with the return of Speakeasy, featuring Geoff ‘Spoons’ Lakeman, Steve ‘Scats’ Redman and Steve ‘Spats’ Potter who dish it out with guitar, violin, authentic 1920s concertina, vocals and spoons to perform great songs from the twenties and thirties. Expect a dose of good time musical madness, dazzling culinary percussion and hankie-wringing sentimentality. As Fats Waller said, ‘nostalgia ain’t what it used to be.’
Geoff is well known as the father of the Lakeman dynasty and is a regular performer in various guises at Calstock Arts.
Admission is free, but donations to the band would be much appreciated.
Doors and bar from 7.30pm, music from around 8.30pm.
The Old Chapel, Sand Lane, Calstock
