"£3.0 Billion The cost of Elizabeth's Jubilee bash" With the Cornish flag of St Piran flying on the Gloriana it was worth every penny of it. For all the rest of the monies mentioned above, if it wasn't spent on that it would have been spent on something else, no doubt there would be a different list to moan about then. Top and tail of it, we have never had it so good or been so well off.

Anyone want to borrow a few quid?

Westminster still had enough left to pull a "Celtic Nation" out of its own mire.

It's fun to bash the English as their system falls apart. It's called getting your own back (sic)

"It's fun to bash the English as their system falls apart. It's called getting your own back (sic)" Nope, it's called being blinded by your own bigoted dogma; I often wonder if some nationalists are driven by hidden motives. I reckon some are fully aware how false their beliefs actually are, but are just using all this to hide the real reasons for being anti-English/British.

CF. You are absolutely right. What TF fails to do is to understand the financial and social benefits, both at home & abroad, which arose as a result of the Jubilee, Royal Wedding and Olympics/Para Olympics. In addition the tax cuts to the rich and corporations will help (has helped) to create employment and drive the economy forward. Overall, the UK did remarkably well in 2012, and contrary to TF's viewpoint has excellent prospects for future. If TF really wants to discuss a real waste of tax payers money then he need look no further than the money spent on the Cornish Partnership and the promotion of a questionable language and culture! Money which would be better spent during these times of austerity on Social Care for the elderly etc.

Slimslad. Following your comment about Eire, I think this makes interesting reading. http://tinyurl.com/bsdnkl7 I feel extremely sorry for the Irish people, and wonder what the Cornish Neo-Celts think about the disgusting treatment being meted out by the EU against a truly wonderful Celtic Country?
