“Well done to these good Cornishmen.

A lifeboat volunteer who has raised £180,000 for the RNLI has received a British Empire Medal (BEM).

Robert Bulgin, 76, of Port Isaac in Cornwall, was named in the New Year Honours List.

Ken Radford, 59, from St Austell, also received a BEM for services to people with learning difficulties.

Jillian Carr, human resources director at Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth, has been appointed MBE for services to education.”
