“It appears the UK Green Party has been taking lessons from the EU, despite their poorly position in the polls. http://tinyurl.com/qebkyu6

Somewhat like some of the Cornish Nationalists who post on this site. WE is right, you is wrong! WE read different books to you!”

Says it all really. Nobody allowed to have differing views. It is surprising me just how extreme the Greens can be. I love the title they use of being the 'Green Party of England and Wales' (no mention of Cornwall, incidentally), and yet they are pushing for division of the UK.

hereandthere. I was taught from a very young age to, "eat up all my greens". I will continue to do so as it is, apparently, the Green thing to do! On a serious note, it is a case of the unelectable telling the electable what to do. You know what I mean - just like the Nationalist's do on this forum. ie: one cannot be Cornish unless one is one of their type of Cornish.

Well said the Green Party. The floods are proving us correct! Meanwhile, where are the much vaunted forces of Westminster? No where to be seen. Kernowes ov vy. Nys yw Saws!

  • josdave  |  February 15 2014, 8:10PM

The forces of Westminster are showing themselves now that Surrey and Berkshire have had some flooding.

"The Green Party of England and Wales has called for a purge of government advisers and ministers who do not share its views on climate change. Any senior adviser refusing to accept "the scientific consensus on climate change" should be sacked, it said" Now what does that remind you of? "The Great Purge was a campaign of political repression in the Soviet Union orchestrated by Joseph Stalin from 1934 to 1939. It involved a large-scale purge of the Communist Party and government officials, repression of peasants and the Red Army leadership, and widespread police surveillance, suspicion of "saboteurs", imprisonment, and arbitrary executions." Green dictators, whatever next?

AB. The current storms and floods do not prove, or support the Global Warming theory. They are as likely to support the theory of Natural Climate Change.

Good Heavens! That well known champion of truth and honesty, bastion of equal and unbiased journalism the 'Daily Mail'. Dear oh dear oh dear.

  • Big_Ger  |  February 16 2014, 9:58PM

The Mail is better than any evidence you have presented, as you have presented none!

AB. An article which has appeared in newspapers here and in Europe. "One of the Met Office's senior experts claims there is no link between global warming and the storms that have battered U.S. and the UK. Mat Collins, a professor in climate systems at Exeter University, said the storms have been driven by the jet stream which has been 'stuck' further south than usual. Professor Collins said: 'There is no evidence that global warming can cause the jet stream to get stuck in the way it has this winter. If this is due to climate change, it is outside our knowledge.'

  • Taxman100  |  February 18 2014, 11:23AM

For some reason this portion was not included above. Professor Collins is also a senior adviser for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

I don't have to present evidence Bigger as this isn't a court and although you regard this forum as your own, the good news is that it isn't although you have been banned from a few others. AB. So, you are prepared to believe a bunch of politician's rather than a Climate Scientist. In this instance I would prefer to believe the Scientist.

I wanted to put it in simple terms you would understand, you see. But if it's science you prefer, then this should satisfy your need http://tinyurl.com/yhsnaz8 Enjoy!

Big_Ger. I agree with you. An Balores has proven the point I made quite well. Friends of the Earth, 2013: "The ship was peacefully protesting at an oil rig in the Russian Economic Exclusion Zone in international waters". The Russian's and most of the free world thought differently, and I am sure the "Friends" will not be protesting there again post haste!
