Top Tory Maria Miller faces Cabinet axe over £90k of second-home expenses claims

Mrs Miller, 49, has been under investigation for the past year over second-home allowances she made between 2005 and 2009.

She claimed for a second-home mortgage and costs on the London home where her family lived.

At the same time the Tory minister also had two properties that she rented in her Basingstoke constituency.

    Why is anybody surprised by this? While the rest of us are struggling with the effects of a recession caused by those at the top MPs are doing very nicely. All in this together? Don't make me laugh.

    Westminster and its structures are amongst the most corrupt institutions in the world. Overdue a root and branch reform.

    Well they're not going to reform themselves,if people reformed themselves,we wouldn't need prisons.

    It could be said that those who only highlight the corruption in one Party, whilst ignoring the same corruption in others? Could be said to be dishonest.
