“More Cornish generosity!
Cornish pasties are being used to feed people trying to fight the flood waters in Somerset.
More than 1,000 pasties have been sent from Cornwall to Somerset, in a project dubbed Mission Cornish Pasty.
Cornish woman Sarah Phippen who now lives on the Somerset Levels, rang pasty makers and friends in Cornwall who are helping Mission Cornish Pasty.
The pasties are sent frozen and cooked by neighbours of flood victims and then handed out by Ms Phippen and friends.
She said: "I'm a mum at home. There's not much I do out here. I can't sandbag with four kids in tow.
"But I can bake pasties and my friends are happy to bake pasties."
Philps Bakery in Hayle has sent hundreds of pasties to Somerset.
Paul Philp said: "It is really nice just to help people.
"We have had people phoning up on the strength of this saying 'Can I donate £50 for as many pasties as that will buy?'"”
