It's a cold and frosty start for Devon and Cornwall today, but mostly fine and dry.

Patchy ice and fog have been forecast for the Westcountry, and there may be some isolated showers, particularly in the west.

The region will see bright and sunny spells, with winds staying light.

Maximum temperature will be around 8°c.

Tonight will be mostly dry but expect fog and freshening winds through the early hours which will bring patchy light rain on Tuesday morning.

Temperatures could drop to -1°c.

Tuesday will begin with fog which should quickly clear as cloud, wind and rain spreads eastwards.

Some heavy spells of rain are possible in the afternoon with maximum temperatures of 10 °C.
