A weather warning for ice has been issued as temperatures in Devon and Cornwall hovered around 2c this morning.
The Westcountry should see a cold, dry start which will lead to thickening cloud and showers later on.
The yellow-grade warning for ice has come from the Exeter-based Met Office who this morning said: "A combination of clear spells and light winds will allow road temperatures to fall below freezing on Tuesday morning.
"This will allow icy stretches to form on untreated surfaces. The public are advised to take extra care and be aware of the risk of some minor travel disruption."
By 3pm cloud will move in bringing with it outbreaks of patchy rain.
This afternoon temperatures are expected to be between 7 and 11c with a slight breeze.
Wednesday will see more rain at times and blustery conditions with some bright spells predicted. Temperatures will be around 11c.
