Firefighters have rescued two casualties who became trapped in their cars following a collision on the A38 Eastbound near Liskeard.
A rescue tender from Bodmin and fire crews from Liskeard and Saltash were called to the scene on the Saltash side of the A38 near Trerulefoot roundabout at 6.30pm this evening.
The crews used cutting equipment to release the casualties from separate vehicles.
The road is closed between Saltash and St Germans. Diversions via Callington have been put in place.
The two casualties have being taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth for treatment.
The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
