Heavy rain and localised surface-water flooding that has hit Cornwall today is set to continue until Wednesday, the Met Office has announced.

A yellow flood warning - already in place for today and Tuesday - has been issued for the South West on Wednesday.

The warning, issued today at 12.41pm, urges people to be aware of heavy rain and localised flooding.

The prolonged showers will be accompanied by gusty winds, the Met Office says.

There will be little change in the weather on Tuesday, with the Met Office predicting further rain, gales and localised disruption.
