HELSTON-Lizard Inner Wheel Club members have tried out first-hand facilities at the BF Adventure activities' centre.
Among their tasks was attempting to walk, as a team, with two planks as their temporary footwear.
The women were there to review plans to build exciting new amenities at the centre which works with disabled children which they have chosen to support.
The Inner Wheel is hoping to raise funds to help construct a kitchen and dining facility at the Goodygrane quarry site at Halvasso, between Helston and Falmouth.
Adrian Richards, chief executive, outlined the need to replace the elderly, rotting temporary cabins and some grant applications were ongoing.
Inner Wheel president Linda Ford said: "We were inspired by our visit and want to help with further fundraising and practical help so that work may start in the new year.
"We want to help raise awareness of the fantastic work that BF Adventure does to help disadvantaged children and young adults in our local community."
