A fresh appeal for information has been issued after the body of a man, naked apart from socks and a single walking shoe, was washed ashore at Perranporth beach on Tuesday.

Police would especially like to speak to anyone who witnessed the discovery of the man on the beach, and who may have recorded the incident with their camera or mobile phone.

The body was found in the high tide at 2pm near the Wateringhole pub.

The man is described as a white male, aged between 50 and 70-years-old, with a thin build, and around 5'7" tall.

He had white receeding hair which was bald on top, and a thick white bushy beard.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have noticed a man fitting the description of the deceased in the Perranporth area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police on 101, quoting reference GR/14/80.
