Motorists have been warned to drive with care on the A30 near Bodmin due to adverse weather conditions.

Large amounts of surface water have been reported in both directions around Bodmin on the Cardingham turn off. Visibility is also said to poor.

All vehicles should approach with care.

Why issue a warning? All motorists, at least those with common sense which isn't all of them, know that reduced visibility means you drive with more care. But in my experience the worse the conditions the more idiots you see speeding. I have been on the A30 in poor visibility keeping to a reasonable speed and quite a few pass me as if I was standing still. How there are not more accidents is pure luck it's certainly not driving skill
