Truro City Res 1 Wadebridge Town 3
Wadebridge bounced back from the disappointment of surrendering a 3-1 lead with 20 minutes to go at top club Godolphin on Boxing Day to lose 5-3, with a thoroughly deserved win over a lacklustre City side.
The win,  which was Wadebridge's 12th in 14 games in Division One West of the Carlsberg SWPL this season, lifted them to level on points with second-placed Helston whose scheduled game at St Dennis was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
And the Bridgers still have to play Helston twice and also Godolphin, who they trail by ten points with two games in hand, at home so are still right in the race for promotion.
The visitors were in command for much of the game against a home side who would have  been fourth  in the table if  they had not been deducted ten points when the club went into administration.
But on the day they rarely imposed themselves on a well organised Wadebridge side who were good value for their win.
They took the lead after  25 minutes when defender Sam Gerken headed home a Nick Dowling corner, just two minutes after City striker Scott Palmer had been denied by keeper Tom  Vercoe after  he went clear.
That was the way it stayed until  ten minutes into the second half when an attempted City clearance flew into  the net off Alex Ahearn as he closed the ball down.
And  Giles Reynolds, who was  making a rare start, soon made it 3-0 when he headed in at the far post from another Dowling corner.
Truro did pull a late goal back through the head of defender  Andy Van Evelingen, but  it was too little too late.
