Already looking ahead for a way to work off some of that Christmas excess? How about getting out in the fresh and helping manage some of west Cornwall’s beautiful countryside?
Wild Penwith Volunteers are looking for help on Tuesday January 7 to manage scrub - bramble, gorse, etc - which is starting to cover a valuable piece of unimproved wetland, in the headwaters of the Lamorna Stream.
Wild Penwith’s Liz Cox will also lead volunteers on a brief visit to the neighbouring Bartinney Nature Reserve, recently purchased by Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
Volunteers should bring work-clothes, stout boots or wellies and a packed-lunch.
Drinks will be provided. No tools are required, but bring work-gloves if you have them.
Volunteers should meet in the farmyard at Tredinney Farm - past the Cardinney Campsite - off the A30 east of Crows-an-wra.
