ON THE DAY the world biggest wave was recorded off Penzance, this footage shows the enormous waves hitting Sennen and being catapulted 200ft into the air.

The swell coming in from the Atlantic hits the cliffs and flies over into Sennen Cove, above the lifeboathouse.

Storm watchers are soaked as the waves also hit the sea wall and car park in the village - just half a mile from Land's End.

A wave measuring 70ft was measured in Mounts Bay today as gale force winds and high tides caused damage across Cornwall.
