Could this be a UFO that has been spotted off the coast at Land's End?

The mysterious footage, that has been posted on YouTube, was shot earlier this month and shows two white lights, one far larger than the other, hovering in the night's sky near Sennen.

The footage which lasts just over four minutes, shows a smaller white light moving towards a larger dish shape light which then absorbs it before disappearing.

It has left Cornish UFO expert Dave Gillham scratching his head and he is eager to track down the cameraman or anyone else with information.

He said: "Down at Land's End back in the nineties there was quite a big sighting. It was an orange-shaped object shining above three white objects that went out over Paul.

"A lot of people actually saw that, I know it's a different colour but this object went in to it as well.

"The thing that stuck out most (about this object) is the object that came from the ground and went in to it."

The sighting is not the first to have taken place over Cornwall, which according to Mr Gillham, who is chair founder of the Cornwall UFO Research Group, a bit of a hotbed for such activity.

"There's been quite a few sightings in Cornwall over the years," he said. "They are all different shapes and sizes. Reports of triangular-shaped and cigar-shaped objects and orange lights.

"It's so dark, there's a lot of light pollution around, but if you get out in the rural areas it very dark, most of the UFOs have very bright lights and show up very well."

As for what the object could be, Mr Gillham, has a few theories.

"It could be coming from another dimension alongside ours, it could live on this planet. It's very hard to get to the bottom of it, one second and they are gone."

If you have any information on this sighting or the on who the author of the video is contact Mr Gillham on 01872 276381 or email  david.gillham@lineone.net

Very Interesting to find this story and to see the film footage. The time of year this was sighted is also interesting. I did contact the media a couple of Christmasses ago with our sighting of what appeared to be a UFO during our morning walk and our nieghbour who was out walking her dog also saw what we were watching happening. From the top of Boscoppa road ,near Bishop Bronescombe School, we watched a tyre shaped object almost fall out of the sky and wobble ,then it flew upwards up into the clouds and out towards the coastal area of Par towards the Gribbin and eventually diappeard as it looked like its flight went upwards. We stood looking at one another wondering what we had seen. No one showed any interest but if I look back in my diaries I am sure I can further date the happening. It is very interesting as to what has been seen here. As a medium I have seen orb like spirit energies for years now, and some do come in larger than others and when they do they often emaganate together, just like friends meeting one another. I have also seen souls collected. Could it be a spiritual experience and not a UFO. Just another slant on things ,and yes I have seen orbs and then got the camera and filmed them and got evidence if you would like to see it. My pleasure. It is well known amogst some well established mediums of this centuary that in the victorian era mediums worked with materiliasion to show people the process of evrlasting life, be it in a different way. Could it be that spirit energies are appearing to educate us in the same phenonmen but in a different way? Love to have your response. Love and light Gayle Force. Just thought I did see a space ship back in the seventies when I lived out Par appear by my bedroom window with two shiny haired people in it,who looked at me and then the craft zoomed off. I was nursing one of my children at the time.

It's a bit like 9/11 really. People are going to believe what they choose to believe reflecting their own character until the absolute truth is revealed. Ufo activity is a serious business and history is littered with clues verifying this. The fact that contemporary governmental secrecy and lying behaviour is on a global scale makes locations such as Area 51 even more suspect in a cover up program similar to the ones being perpetuated about the events of 9/11.

The Cornishman reports that the smaller object moves towards the larger one. It may appear to do that because the cameraman doesn't centre on the larger object, but it is the larger object that moves towards the smaller one. Keep an eye on the tree line and it becomes clear. Whatever it is, it's thrown into question because it appears the people/person who posted this might be trying to hide something above the larger object.

At times you can see the lines from the light on the ground as it's shining up onto whatever they're flying above them. The above idea of a kite makes sense.

I KNOW that this is a Cornish kite flyer. Kite has LEDs. How do I know? Tis a little known secret in Cornwall. I believe the young man responsible is from Zennor. At least he used to be anyway.

This is all too vague. How many piers worth the name are there in Penwith? My sceptical spider senses are twitching. @Kurhar - Thanks for the heads up. He claims to know more than he is letting on, so I have messaged him on Twitter, Google+, Facebook and his website (comment awaiting approval - suspicious) with the following helpful offer: "I live 10 miles from Lands End and would be happy to help you investigate this claim. Such as it is, there are no piers on the Penwith peninsula worth the name. Just let me know how I can assist." We'll see how genuine he is in uncovering the truth.

Should the person responsible be actually genuine then he/she will make "Contact" with us! A genuine happening for you: On the 11th January two of us went to a remote spot on high ground as I had said this is an interesting UFO area. This was just a spur of the moment idea to do it. We had just pulled up and looked up at a very starry sky when the car radio suddenly came on with no involvement from us. We decided to leave but we are going back more prepared for events very soon.
