Former NFL American football star, Cecil Martin, stopped off at Truro to put on a training session for local teams.
The teams, including Cornish Sharks who play in the "The Shark Tank" at the Mount Wise Stadium in Newquay, came face to face with the American legend and football commentator during this evenings intense session.
Martin, who played fullback for the Philadephia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was at Truro College where he spent more than an hour coaching the players.
Those taking part also included the Falmouth Tridents, Tiger Sharks, Team Cornwall, St Austell Spartans, Duchy Rebels, Penzance Buccaneers and the Wadebridge Wolfpack.
During his unorthodox warm-up he asked the teams to applaud each other while doing their exercises, saying the clapping and cheering would lift their spirits and adrenalin, helping to improve their game.
The players were also told to address the Sky Sports pundit as ‘Sir’ and appeared to be in awe of the American star who was described as a “larger than life character” by on-lookers.
