EVERYONE knows there’s only one Santa Claus – but around 100 of his doppelgangers took part in a charity fun run on a Newquay beach yesterday.
They raced from Towan beach to Lusty Glaze and back, some with push chairs and running with dogs, and raising around £1,500 for Cornwall Hospice Care.
The event was one of 10 Santa fun runs organised by the charity across the county.
Rose Wiltshire, events fundraiser, said: “We were thrilled with the turn out and would like to thank everyone who took part or volunteered, Newquay BID and Newquay Aquarium as well as the people who stopped to cheer our Santas on the route.”
There is still a chance for people to take part in a Santa Fun Run, in Padstow on Saturday, December 7, at Heartlands Pool on Sunday, December 8, or Falmouth on Saturday, December 14.
