Residents in Cornwall can expect heavy rain tonight, some torrential, and the possibility of localised flooding as the county braces itself for a band of stormy weather.

The bank of heavy rain and thunder is travelling across Cornwall from the South West and is expected to last through much of the night with most areas seeing rain at some point over the next few hours.

UPDATE: 7.37pm - Fire crews are pumping 2 feet of water from a property in Fowey after flash flooding brought about by heavy rain saw the building swamped.
