A CHILD was hurt after two vehicles were involved in a collision between Hayle and St Ives yesterday afternoon.
An ambulance service spokesperson said that "a child suffered minor injuries" after a Renault van and Citroen crashed on the A30 near Loggans Moor roundabout at around 4.40pm on Thursday May 2.
Paramedics treated the boy at the scene, but his age is not known.
Ambulance services, who were called at 4.48pm, reported no other injuries following the crash.
Three fire trucks and police received calls at around 4.40pm and Camborne Community Fire Station was first to respond.
Initial reports suggested that a person was trapped in one of the cars, but this was not the case.
It is thought that the two vehicles involved were travelling in opposite directions, with the Citroen left on a grass verge and debris strewn across the road.
Diversions occurred as a result of the crash.
