A TRURO primary school has become the latest member of the Cornwall Academy Trust.
Treyew Primary School joined the trust as Truro Learning Academy, and deputy head teacher Marie Cameron believed the move would be of huge benefit to pupils and teachers.
She said: "Joining Cornwall Academy Trust will enable us to push the school further and change the profile of our school.
"We are now able to work with a cluster of other schools by sharing good practice, purchasing resources collectively and allowing our students to work with those studying at other members of the trust."
Truro Learning Academy was officially opened on January 6 and the children spent the day learning about and making dreamcatchers to reflect on their hopes and aspirations for their time at the academy.
Everyone turned up in their new uniforms, featuring a logo designed by the youngsters.
Ms Cameron said: "Already we've been able to join forces with the other schools and purchase a number of iPads to use in class, something we would have never been able to afford if we had not become part of the Cornwall Academy Trust."
