TRURO will once more have its own dedicated police inspector after a police reorganisation.
Inspector Mark Richards has been splitting his time between Truro and Falmouth but will now be responsible solely for Truro.
Mr Richards has been inspector for Truro and Falmouth since March 2011.
He said: "Having a single inspector on its own won't make a huge difference but the changes to the structure will make a difference.
"It's going to make it far more locally tailored and far more responsive to the needs of the local community.
"It means 100 per cent of my time will be spent here and the staff that work in Truro will all be answerable to one person."
