POLICE have reported a triple champagne theft in Newlyn just as festive celebrations begin.
The incident is said to have taken place earlier this month in the run up to Christmas and saw a bottle of Moet, a Lanson Black Label and a Co-op own brand bubbly stolen from a property on Treveneth Crescent.
Police said the offence took place between 8.30am and 8pm on December 19 and are appealing for information.
A report read: “Offender(s) entered the premises climbing in through a rear bedroom window.
“Once inside bedrooms were searched untidily and cash and property was stolen.”
The service added that if anyone is aware of champagne being consumed or offered to other people, they are asked to please contact DC Martin Hearn at Penzance station on 101 or anonymously through Crime stoppers 0800 555111, quoting crime reference AP/13/3151.
