British Transport Police are appealing for help to identify a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a rail passenger's luggage.

Officers have released a CCTV image of woman they believe can assist their investigation into the incident which took place between Camborne and Redruth rail stations on Saturday, November 3, 2012.

Investigating officer, PC Steve Kelley, said: "The victim boarded the 14.00hrs Penzance to London service at St Erth station at around 3.31pm.

"She placed her pink suitcase in the luggage rack at the end of the carriage but discovered it missing when she went to check it later in the journey.

"Enquiries are ongoing and at this stage of the investigation, I am keen to identify and speak to the woman in this photograph as I believe she will have key information which can assist police.

"The woman in the photograph boarded the train at Camborne and got off at Redruth station."

Anyone who knows the identity of the woman is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference B10/WWA of 22/11/2012.
