Two separate incidents have led to the closure, and subsequent disruption to traffic, of major roads in Cornwall this afternoon.

The A394 in Penryn is still closed in both directions between Treliever Roundabout (at ASDA) and Longdowns junction.

The serious incident occurred at 11.30am involving a Volkswagen Bora and a lorry at Longdowns, near to the recycling centre.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident by calling 101 and quoting police log 256 of 8 October 2012.
