Theft case among court hearings

CARL SEAN VINCENT ASCOTT, 40, of Carvolth, Praze, entered a guilty plea at Truro Magistrates' Court to theft at Camborne on April 18 and was conditionally discharged for a year and told to pay compensation of £15.

Also at Truro Magistrates' Court:

VIDAS BUTKUS, 44, of Binnerton Road, Leedstown, entered a guilty plea to permitting another person to use a car when there was no insurance for it and was fined £250.

BENJAMIN DAVID GRENFELL, 19, of South Park, Redruth, entered a guilty plea to using a car in a dangerous condition at Bridge on June 2 and was banned from driving for 55 days and fined £150.

He also admitted having defective tyres and no test certificate.

THOMAS PARSONAGE, 26, of Station Road, Pool, entered a guilty plea to using a car without insurance at Pool on May 14 and was fined £230 and banned from driving for six months.

He also admitted having no test certificate.

CLIVE JOHN WHITTAKER, 43, of Carnmenellis, entered a guilty plea to using a car without insurance at Redruth on April 17 and was fined £250 and banned from driving for six months.

BELINDA JANE BUTLER, 35, of Euny Close, Trevingey, Redruth, was convicted in her absence of using a car without insurance at Redruth on April 29 and fined £600. She was also convicted of having no test certificate.

BENJAMIN NATHANIEL PAGE, 33, of Horsedowns, near Praze, was convicted in his absence of using a car with a defective light at Camborne on April 26 and fined £200.

DEREK JOHN ANNIS, 42, of Trevithick Crescent, Hayle, entered a guilty plea to theft with another at Hayle on July 19 and was conditionally discharged for 18 months.
