Tailgating in Truro led toa road-rage attack being investigated by police.

A road-rage attack broke out on a main road into Truro that led to a car being damaged.

The victim of the road-rage told police the attack came after sustained tailgating on the Newquay Road coming into Truro.

The incident took place at the traffic lights at the top of Tregolls Road at approximately 10pm on Friday.

Inspector Mark Richards from Truro Police said the driver of a silver Volkswagen reported being tailgated on the road into Truro.

Mr Richards said: “A Suzuki Wagon pulled up alongside the aggrieved and allegedly verbally abused him and threatened him.

“The alleged offender got out of his car and kicked the rear offside wing of the Volkswagen causing damage to the car.”

Police would like to speak with the driver of the Suzuki, described as being a man aged 35-40 wearing jeans and a jumper and a hat.
