Comments (1)

A 10-YEAR-OLD girl was rescued by a fisherman after having a fit while swimming in Mousehole harbour this afternoon.

The Penlee lifeboat and members of the Penzance Coastguard Rescue Team attended the scene shortly before 5pm along with a RNAS Culdrose search and rescue helicopter.

The girl was transferred to the helicopter and flown to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske.

A spokesman for Falmouth Coastguard said the girl was awaiting the results of X-rays but was in a “much better condition than she had been when she was taken from the water”.

Lets pray for a speedy recovery with no ill or long term effects. Why I ask is a Coastguard helo pictured when in fact it was a military flight involved in the airlift? Well done to all those involved in her rescue, especially the fisherman.
