Another day of rain is predicted for Devon and Cornwall, but brighter weather will make an appearance during the afternoon.
Friday will begin with some dry spells and the odd bit of sunshine but patches of heavy rain will fall during lunchtime.
The band of rain will slowly move eastwards bringing the possibility of thunder.
However, brighter weather is forecast for late afternoon with temperatures remaining a fairly mild 10c.
Saturday will begin with showers, which will be heavy and persistent in places, especially likely for parts of Somerset and Dorset.
