Truro City’s Christmas and New Year programme has given the go ahead after their Treyew Road ground suffered severe damage in Monday night’s storm.
The homes games against Bashley on Saturday and Weymouth on New Year’s Day had been in doubt after the ground had taken a real overnight battering.
But the Calor League have given City permission for the matches to be played, without the storm damaged covered seating, at the council offices end, being used and subject to the dug outs being repaired and of course, pitch conditions.
The Covered Seating Area has been deemed unsafe due to the movement off the support pads and the buckled roof supports and will have to be dismantled and rebuilt in the new year.
City also need to give the league a definitive date as to when the stand repair will be completed by no later than Friday January 3.
Club chairman peter Masters said: “Needless to say all will be done to get both games on and we look forward to a good turnout on both games.
“May we take this opportunity of thanking you all for your support to what has been an interesting and difficult year both on and off the pitch.
“Have a very happy Christmas and prosperous New Year."
City are next in action at Bideford on Boxing Day (3pm).
