ST DAY'S Christmas tree festival gets under way on Saturday (Dec1) with an official opening at 11.45am.
Cornwall councillor Mark Kaczmarek will declare the festival open in St Day Parish Church Avenue, where the entertainment will be provided by Karnon Kidz.
The festival includes about 50 Christmas trees sponsored by 40 local organisations, displayed at venues around the village.
Over the following week there will be a series of events including brunches, lunches, teas and church services.
The festival will end on December 9 with a celebration in St Day Parish Church at 4pm led by the Rev Simon Bone.
