A ST AGNES couple are celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary in the same house they moved into after they married.
Frank Roberts, from Goonown, and Pam Skewes, from Mithian, were married at St Agnes Methodist Church in front of family and friends on October 10, 1953.
Today the couple are celebrating 60 years of marriage in the house they moved into as young newlyweds.
Mr Roberts, who is 91, served in the Second World War, spending three years stationed in the Middle East.
Mrs Roberts, who trained as a hairdresser in Perranporth, was employed by Archie Williams in a St Agnes salon before marrying, and later worked from home.
The couple are both active members of the local community.
Mr Roberts was involved in the St Agnes Museum Trust and the Goonown Playing Field Committee, and Mrs Roberts was a member of both the former Breannick Women's Institute and the former St Agnes Methodist Monday Club.
Their son, Nicholas, lectures in film and media studies at St Austell College.
