Can you capture the spirit of Truro in one picture? Next years Truro City Guide is currently being put together and the quest is on for new artwork for the front cover.
Town Clerk for Truro City Council Roger Gazzard said "Last year we commissioned local artist John Dyer to create a front cover for the city guide.
"John's design was so vibrant and successful that we have decided to open it up to any artists from the Truro area.
"We are looking for a single piece of artwork that really captures the spirit and vibrancy of Truro that will be seen by thousands of locals and tourists alike."
Last years circulation went from 17,000 to 40,000 and the plans are next year to increase that again to 60,000.
Demelza Davies Manager of the Truro Information Centre said "We haven't been able to get them out fast enough this year.
"The new A5 format has been more popular than ever and I think a big part of that has been down to the really eye catching cover".
Local artist John Dyer said "Designing the cover was a real privilege for me and quite a challenge artistically.
"It's lovely to hear that it has been so successful and from a commercial point of view, it has definitely been worth while personally".
Roger Gazzard explained how the guide is produced, "Truro City Guide is once again being put together by two Truro based businesses, Fal River Cornwall and marketing and design agency MPAD.
"This has enabled us to produce a high quality marketing brochure for Truro without costing the authority or the ratepayer any money".
Any artists that would like to submit some artwork should contact Nigel Barker at MPAD for a copy of the brief by email, firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 01872 321533.
