A SPECIAL meeting is being held in Penzance tonight to thrash out the town's view on plans for the redevelopment of the harbour.

County Hall has sent a business case to Minister for Transport Norman Baker which outlines plans to dredge the harbour and possibly introduce rock armour.

The minister has already said he would be keen to hear the views of the town council on the plans, especially on the controversial use of rock armour.

Penzance Town Council has organised tonight's discussion, which is open to the public to attend, "to consider a response to Cornwall Council's submission to the Department for Transport".

Its too late for Penzance now. They should have taken the university when given the chance.

Hopefully the new Council will stop listening to the NIMBY's who don't need jobs and listen to the people that do. Loosing a few feet of shale laughingly called sandy cove is worth the future prosperity of the town. If previous Council's had thought like the last lot of those that bowed to those that shouted the loudest we wouldnt have jubilee pool
