Two landlords from a pub near Truro have enjoyed the white Christmas they wished for thanks to one of their regulars.

Despite the week's earlier wet weather, the Kings Head in Ruan Lanihorne was covered in a blanket of white snow on Wednesday.

But instead of falling from the sky, this white powder came courtesy of customer Tim Hutchinson’s snow machine.

Landlady Niki Law said: “Tim was out at the pub on Christmas eve and told us that he had been given a snow machine as a gift and wouldn't our pub look lovely with snow on Christmas day and we said, ‘yes please.’”

Filled with festive spirit, Mr Hutchinson arrived at the pub before it opened on Christmas morning and covered the front of the building in snow.

He then placed the snow machine in a window above the entrance so drinkers could walk in through a mini blizzard.

Mrs Law added: “It was very well received, people loved it.

“Let’s face it, we'd all like a white Christmas and thanks to Tim, we had a little bit of that to share with all our customers.”
