A FORMER professional surfer from Sennen is trying to get one million online views of the pilot episode of his own comedy series to try and propel himself to stardom.

Lew Smart uploaded the first episode of his series, Living The Part, on YouTube earlier today, which he wrote and shot earlier this year after graduating as a mature student from University College Falmouth last summer.

The show follows the life of an out-of-work actor trying to break into the industry and features Miranda and The Office actor Ben Forster. The pilot, which was shown at The Cornwall Film Festival, was shot in Sennen and Penzance, as well as London.

It has been well received so far after viewings at the Pixelate Film Festival in Falmouth and The Acorn Theatre in Penzance, and Lew is hoping to transfer that success online. He said: "I need to get it on YouTube and get a following, if it takes off online, it'll massively speed up the opportunity of finance for the series."

Please note the video contains adult themes and some strong language. to see Lew Smart's video click here.
