Scouts group meets the police

MEMBERS of Illogan Scouts group came face to face with Devon and Cornwall Police dog handlers and members of the armed response unit.

The local police officers explained their different roles and responsibilities.

PC Sue Buckley and PCSO Morwenna Harris, from the neighbourhood police team in Pool, were joined by PC Davey and PC Kennedy Smith, from the armed response unit based at Camborne, and police dog handlers PC Gilbert and PC Sayer, with police dog Daisy.

PCSO Harris said: "The Scout group had many questions for the officers about their work.

"They were given the opportunity to handle some of the equipment which they use in their day to day roles."
