SANTA and his helpers arrived by a helicopter this morning to visit children at Bodriggy School in Hayle.

Using a search and rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose Father Christmas and his elf landed on the school ground to meet the youngsters.

Head teacher David May said: "We contacted Culdrose in October asking for a visit and this morning all the 330 children in the school had a chance to meet Santa and his elf who gave every single child a high-five.

"We were fortunate to be one of the eleven schools they visited today and yesterday. It has really been a special morning."

Afterwards the crew, Santa and his elf gave a little wave to the residents living near the school.
