Falmouth Town 1, Saltash United 3
Three goals in 17 second half minutes saw Saltash United come from behind to record a deserved premier division victory at Bickland Park.
Falmouth had led at the break through Josh Burton's 43rd minute strike.
But after a poor first half, the Ashes took control in the second 45 with Sam Hughes, Toby Clark and substitute Matt Cusack getting the goals to clinch victory for Martin Burgess' men.
In a fairly uneventful first half Hughes was presented with a golden opportunity to give Saltash the lead in the 14th minute when, from six yards out and only Town goalkeeper Dan Peters to beat, the striker turned the ball wide.
The game finally came to life in the closing minutes when, just moments after Saltash's Sam Farrant had his goal ruled out for offside, from the resulting free kick Falmouth broke clear, and after a mix up in the visiting defence, Burton steered the ball home from close range.
But within eight minutes of the second half Saltash were level. Following a superb interchange of passes Hughes turned his marker on the edge of the box before placing the ball past Peters in the Town goal.
And after Peters had made two good saves to keep Saltash at bay, the goalkeeper conceded a penalty in the 67th minute after bringing Hughes down in the box.
Peters earned a yellow card for his troubles and was then sent the wrong way as skipper Clark made no mistake from the spot.
With Town boss John Dent still seething from referee Ben Judd's decision to award the penalty, Saltash substitute Cusack added a third goal for the visitors in the 70th minute with a simple close range finish.
