A LOCAL designer has put together a project aiming to fit everything that makes Cornwall special on to one map.
Illustrator and designer Simon Riordan, of SR Studio in Grampound Road, has created an interactive map to show visitors there's a lot more to Cornwall than just beautiful beaches.
"I'm desperate to see the final version of the map, as it's been around a year in the making," he said.
"It'll feature sections on our culture, walks, festivals and the Cornish language, as well as information about the fishing and mining industries."
Mr Riordan, who has also worked on other county discovery maps, said he wanted this project to consolidate all the information in one place.
"It's been such a struggle to get all the information on to one map, so in the end we had to settle for a double-page piece where you can cherry-pick the areas that interest you the most and expand on them by visiting our interactive website," he said.
"We've been blessed with the help of various supportive people who each have extensive knowledge about the county that they were willing to share with us."
The map is currently a work in progress and will be available to buy in February at www.cornwalluncovered.org, with locals being able to get it at less than half price.
