Trebah Gardens has been forced to close its gates today after flooding has blocked the roads leading towards the attraction at Mawnan Smith.
Marketing manager Jonathan Bray said 10 staff were unable to make it to work this morning because of flooding which reached up to the level of a car's headlights.
He said: "It's never happened to that extent. Nearly all of the roads are closed."
He said he tried three or four roads to get in to work from Constantine before making it through, but other staff were travelling from the Falmouth direction.
