Jolly’s Combination League newcomers Redruth United have boosted their squad by the signing of keeper Barrie-John Wyatt from Carlsberg SWPL Division One West side Truro City Reserves.

Wyatt, who joined City from Illogan earlier in the season, is now reunited with his former manager at Oxland Parc, Neal Jeffree.

The Redruth Utd boss said: “Jason Kitchen has been excellent in goal for us in last 18 months helping us gain promotion and make a great start to life in senior football, but he has been suffering with injuries.

“So to sign a replacement of Wyatt’s quality is a big boost for us all at United and having seen Barrie up close for two years at Illogan I know we are getting a great goalkepper.”

Wyatt is in line to make his debut at home for sixth-placed Redruth Utd against Mullion this Saturday.
