AN ALE-ADDIN'S cave has opened up for beer enthusiasts in Truro.

The Red Elephant Beer Cellar in Quay Street, which stocks more than 300 types of beer, is the second shop opened by Joe Thompson, owner of Penpont Brewery, and his business partner Chris Hassall.

Mr Thompson said: "Penpont Brewery is going from strength to strength at the moment.

"With the shops, several beer festivals under our belts and a new flagship beer launching early next year, we're very excited for the future."

Mr Thompson is one of only a handful of beer sommeliers in the world and the shop carries ales from around the globe, as well as around the county.

The Red Elephant will host beer-tasting evenings throughout the next few months.

This looks more like an (unpaid?) advertisement than news.
